is it me or does fire magnification boost non-firedamage staff attacks too?
and why doesnt it boost spells with firedamage?

I guess you're talking about the Staff Mastery spell.
The Fire Magnification spell (just like the other element magnification spells) just adds +level*10 fire to your attack. So it precisely increases damage for regular attacks.
It has nothing to do with boosting spells damages.

Right twix, while the spell is active, it lets your staff do fire damage even if the staff has no inherent fire, if the staff already has fire damage by itself it will simply add the damage.

Yup, and if you are a warlock or conjurer putting points into those magnifications I feel for you tremendously. ;)

yes i apologize. It was late when i started my warlock :)
actually i got the solution when i was asleep.
Its all written in the spell description.
It simply adds +firedamage to staffs.
