I wonder how many of You fellow Regnum players use Windows or Linux client. I have installed to systems Linux and WinXp. And I use Linux client. BTW. Why do I keep M$ on my partition?

GO LINUX! ^_^

Gentoo user here. It doesn't mean I actually know anything. Well, I think I know a lot, but if you talk to me after a while you realise I actually don't know very little.
Edit: "don't know very little"? that'll teach me to post on the forums before bed. You know what I mean >_<

Don't let me touch your computer, I'll break it :|

Pah. I never thought that I would do this but this really happened to me:

sudo rm -rf /

I simply missed the DOT (".") infront of the slash :metal:
Looong time ago.

Excuse me.

ROFL.

Omg XD I always thought it was impossible to typo something like that. Haha.

Although, once I ... misplaced.. all the contents of /etc >_>
I swear, I didn't delete them. I'm not sure what I did. But they vanished :(

Linux here too, Gentoo on AMD64 running the 64bit client.

BTW, thanks to NGD for offering the Linux client, I wouldn't be playing this great game otherwise.

Ubuntu Studio 07.10 here, I may have windows installed on a spare old drive but I rarely ever touch it, only when I need to test someithng for someone.

People still actually use windows?

LFS (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/)

if you build it, it will run.

well its ok to educate yourself about linux.
But in the end you want a packet manager.

So if you like it "scratchy" then rather go for Gentoo or a *BSD

You could build an lfs system, and then install portage on it :P

Well since portage is itself a port of the BSD ports (hence the name), wouldn't that be BSD everywhere? ;)

Also an ubuntu-studio 7.10 user here. :) Music side of the arts hehe ^^ Although I still use windows for FL Studio until I figure out how to get VSTi working under linux. But I use Rosegarden for all my notation work.

(eyeballing Jucetice right now for the VST stuff, but it's still in its infancy)

I also play regnum under windows >.> keep getting a segmentation fault under Ubuntu I'll have to find out why one of these days :P

Don't forget that many windows users don't like forums, like my 8 clanmates playing regnum on windows :).
