I played the demo in the EVA10. The controls are nice and easy to learn, even if you're an occasional gamer. The aim support system is exactly what I expected: you don't feel it gets in the middle. It's neither too automatic nor to manual.
There's a perfect mix of cartoon-like characters and vivid colours that makes the game look funny but not childish. The animations are smooth and well done, with an excellent balance between colours.
Weapons are easy to use and nicely balanced. You can carry up to three all the time, plus a special attack (that takes a while to reload), so you have a fairly broad arsenal to kill the many types of zombies this game has.
The only downside is that the AI is not so good in single player mode. It's not really important since it's a co-op game, but still, you can cluster all the zombies running in circles and kill them with ease.
It's not as fast paced as you would expect from most top-down zombie shooters, but I think that actually helps the gameplay. It's the kind of game I'd like to play with friends after a long day.
There are some rough edges to be smoothed out, but it's an excellent game.
