Map
Implement semi transparent map. Activation optional, like map M and semi-transparent with N. Example of it, attached as picture. (yes, its Aion and please don't ask me or comment game in this thread. Those who are interested in it, can start new thread or PM me, I ll be glad to answer)
Second suggestion:
split map into 10 parts (or 11). Those parts are: Ignis init, Syrtis init, Alsius init, alsius inner, ignis inner, syrtis inner, syrtis wz, alsius wz, ignis wz, central island, and that "+" is for some other island, gold dragon, whatever...
Idea is when player is in inner for example, it ll see bigger and more detailed map of inner. He can ofc toggle to world map with some button. And after all, not always you need whole map, but just part of it where you are.

That would be nice too. It's also similar to the Diablo map system.

Despite the fact that I can't see your attachments I like your idea.
But like in any topic about maps I would like to suggest to remove the red arrow to make discovering lands still exciting and give an advantage to people who know the terrain.

The current map of RO isnt bad too.. this is small problem.

EDIT: btw, only middle of map is "discovered. That means, character visited that area and discovered it. That system, with great back up with quests, makes player discovers map part by part, by visiting every place and learning about it. The rest of map, which is kinda in shadow (or whatever you call it), is undiscovered part of map.

Good idea, people shouldn't have such detailed information about an enemy's inner realm before they even invaded it.

Another important thing I think. You must explore the land to make it visible on the map. In your own inner realm NPCs might tell you about your realm and mark things on your map so you can see it without discovering it yourself.
You can extend it for warzone:
Guards at Herbred tell you about the region up to pb or limite, Algaros guards about the area to pp2 and so on.
I would like it if you could not see everything on the map without exploring.
