Ok, what is up with extra guards on invasions?

Today ignis invaded both Syrtis and Alsius.
Syrtis has clearly been the higher population realm ever since Tyr merged with Horus.

When Syrtis gates went vulnerable, they had 8 guards and 2 guard captains. Plus they had about 25-27 syrtis at gate.

When Alsius gates go vulnerable less than 2 hours later, we got zero extra guards of any kind at gate. And by screaming on realm chat we could only manage to get maybe 17 players to help guard the gate.

Mind you, I still had fun in losing (f-u for doing this to me again Ignis), but this just doesn't make *any* sense to me.

unfortunaly ignius excel's during this time of the day and id like to congratulate them on what they did today by sticking it to the realms that outnumber them. big up's guys

. i had to leave before they got that last gem but i hope they got it home

coming to your problem, that really sucks :/. Can somebody explain how the guards come to the gate? is it like: If you made your castle lvl 4 then you get .. Guards and for each fort you upgraded an extra .. guards? or doesn't that have anything to do with it?

I just logged on, and wow....

That was totally unexpected.

I suspect that there is going to be a major war this weekend, with syrtis and alsius fighting to retrieve the gems. One of our low level players (so I'm told) tried to retrieve one of our own gems, but got killed. So, we have 5 of the 6 gems. Warzone activity is going to be high, with ignis under constant attack. At least this kind of resets the board a bit, and lengthens the battle.

As for the guards and GC's at the gate...I'm not sure how its calculated. A few weeks ago, the population of ignis was at a really low point, and Syrtis had both our forts, and the castle. The gates went into danger, and we got 11 guards and 2 GC's at the gates.

Thats cuz during the day if we endanger gates you get 50+ gelfs at the gate

Syrtis can only fight when they zerg...

What, Alsius didn't successfully invade? But everyone else was so busy playing in the freakin' Syrtis noobzone while maybe 4 of us were trying to get samal back....

hmm looks like you had more folks who wanted to grind or go afk and stay logged in
